Special 2022 Events:
Wednesdays in The Learning Garden. New in 2022! The Learning Garden is offering the public the opportunity to Drop-In and learn in the garden, on the 4th Wednesday of each month, April – October. Each month, selected gardens will offer demonstrations, visitors can bring plant problems and samples and Master Gardeners will provide problem solving assistance. Visitors can walk around and soak in our lovely gardens! Our gardens open at 9:00 am and demonstration programs run between 10-11am. Most programs are informal and continuous – exceptions will be noted. Details about the events are located here.
Spring Fling Plant Sale – May 7, 9:00am – 3:00pm. Extension Master GardenerSM Plant Sale, in partnership with the Asheville Blue Ridge Rose Society. New Location: The Interchange Building at 59 Woodfin Place (corner of Charlotte St. and Woodfin Pl. at Exit 5B off 1-240). This will be an in-person event this year. WNC Gardening Symposium – October 12. After a two-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the WNC Gardening Symposium team is planning a symposium in 2022. We look forward to seeing you again. More information will be provided in the late spring of 2022.

Gardening in the Mountains Series: A series of 60 minute seminars covering various gardening topics. These on-line programs will be offered the third Thursday of each month, February thru October, unless otherwise indicated. Saturday Seminar Series*: A series of hands-on seminars, presented by Master Gardeners covering various gardening topics. Extension Master GardenerSM Plant Clinics*: After a two year hiatus, the Extension Master GardenerSMPlant Clinics are back and in-person at Asheville City Market. Formerly known as Info Tables, Master Gardener volunteers will be at the Asheville City Market, located at 52 N. Market Street, Asheville, NC 28801 on May 28, June 25, July 30, and August 27 to answers to all of your gardening questions and address your concerns. EMGVs will also staff Plant Clinics at the North Carolina Arboretum on May 26, 27, and 28. All the Plant Clinics planned for 2022 will be held rain or shine, so please check the forecast and dress appropriately for the weather.
