Join us for a hands-on workshop about saving seeds from perennial flowers and preparing them for next year’s garden. Seed saving is a simple, rewarding autumn activity that can help you grow more plants and enjoy a more beautiful garden season after season.
Through a brief presentation and guided practice, participants will learn the basics of harvesting, cleaning, preparing, and storing seeds from a variety of native perennial flowers collected from The Learning Garden. We will also discuss special treatments some native plant seeds need before planting.
Each participant will have the opportunity to prepare seeds to take home and grow next year.
* In 2026, Saturday Seminars are being offered twice on the same day. The content of both sessions will be the same. Select the session that best fits your schedule.
