    2011 Garden Tour

The Buncombe County Master Gardener's 2011 garden tour, held on June 25th, was highly successful. As the day dawned with balmy temperatues and nice breezes, approximately 500 enthusiasts traversed through 5 private gardens, plus the garden of Vance Elementary School and the stream restoration of Buttermilk Creek Stream.

Proceeds of the tour benefit the Master Gardeners School Garden Grant program, which provides grants to our local schools to support school garden programs. The garden tour was co-sponsored by the North Carolina Agricultural Foundation, Inc.
